‘do i equate intelligence with moral authority?’ It’s subconscious, it’s a confidence thing. But something that’s meant I’ve been steamrolled in the moment. Great writing.

I’m reminded of the logical fallacy of “info overload.” I think the Gish Gallop is a popular one. And we see this demonstrated daily out of the current White House. 🤢

At the opposite end: “Intelligence without integrity becomes control.” Damn right. I was often paralyzed by this, drawn in so quickly by erudition, wrapped in smoke screens of smart talk and silky words. It’s still a kind of catnip I find hard to resist.

knowing it's catnip

most people never get that far.

Funny how I my body reacted so visceral: while reading this - I got anxiety remembering how I've been cuffed in this pattern for my most recent 4 years. Difficult, but great read. Thank you.
